Deathknight Requirements

Currently Seeking: Solid raid DPS spec (any will do)

Specs and Gear:

Deathknights are an awesome Tanking and DPS class, and can bring great numbers and different buffs to a raid depending on their spec. Since Deathknights are a hybrid class we expect you to be able to fill multiple rolls in a given raid when needed. If you are a DPS Deathknight, be sure to bring some defense gear with you to throw on if we need you to tank an add. Likewise, if you're a Tanking Deathknight, bring some DPS gear with you for when you're not needed as a Tank. Finally, while we are always open to new ideas and theories regarding this new class, we do have a few requirements in place to ensure you can meet our raiding standards...

  • DPS Deathknights: Depending on which Talent tree you are emphasizing, you should spec deep enough into it to pick up the raid buff that is associated with that tree. This means Abominable Might for Blood, Imp Icy Talons for Frost, and Ebon Plaguebringer for Unholy, respectively. Furthermore, we ask that you obtain the following before applying:
    • Be Hit Capped (You can assume either Imp Faerie Fire or Misery is on your target).
    • Be Expertise Capped.
    • Proper gemming and enchantment of your gear.
  • Tanking Deathknights: Again, as long as you think you can hold aggro and stay alive at the same time, you are welcome to bring your own ideas and specs to the raid as an applicant. Do be aware, however, that our DPS like to come out fast and strong, so understand that you may have to be more aggressive in holding aggro than you are used to. In addition, as we are now moving towards the end of Icecrown, we expect our Tanks to be very well geared from the outset, and cannot afford the time to fill the holes in their gear as they apply. Our minimum requirements for DK Tanks are as follows:
    • 45,000 HP unbuffed.
    • Be Defense Capped.
    • Be Hit Capped (Again, assume either Imp Faerie Fire or Misery is on your target).
    • Be Expertise Capped.
