Druid Requirements

Currently Seeking: Balance Druid

Gear, talents and attitude:

Druids are versatile creatures. No Druid should ever feel or think they are limited to one role. If we recruit you as a tank, be ready to hold your own as a cat when you're not needed as a bear. An exceptional bear-tank will likely be passed over if they are terrible at cat-dps. Likewise, Boomkin druids are to carry reasonable healing gear with them, and be prepared to combat rez or throw emergency heals around the raid whenever necessary. If asked to respec, our Druids should know enough about their other talent trees to allow them to do so quickly when needed.

  • You should be pro-active in your use of your spells and talents. That means:
    • Bring enough mats to buff the raid for an entire night.
    • We should not need to ask you more than once to resurrect a player in combat.
    • You should be able to judge whether you should use crowd control on mobs without being told to.
    • Druids can cleanse poison and remove curses. We expect you to do so in raids, preferably without having to be reminded.
    • Use Innervate liberally, even if you are a feral druid. There is always someone who will give you a /hug in return.
  • Variety in talent specialization is welcome. You are encouraged to find a combination of talents that suits your raiding style and complements the other druids' specs. However, we do have a number of requirements in place to ensure that you are able to meet our raid performance standards.
    • 2/2 in Improved Mark of the Wild is mandatory for every resto druid.
    • Subtlety/Nature's Reach are mandatory for Resto/Balance druids, respectively.
    • Trees are best suited for HoT healing. This means that spamming Regrowth and Healing Touch is typically not the best way to go. A druid specced and glyphed for Healing Touch can be discussed, but it is not what we consider a Tree's default role.
    • At least one Boomkin in the raid must have Improved Faerie Fire.
    • While we accept that they are great spells, reckless/careless use of Starfall and Typhoon will not go over well with the rest of the raid.
    • Feral talents are at the discretion of the class liaison and raid needs.

And remember, skinning a bear should aggro every bears.
